About this gym

The Point at Polzeath offers a range of top-notch fitness and leisure facilities. Here you can have a good workout, a relaxing swim, and enjoy the stunning views over the coast towards Pentire Point. The main pool is 20m long with a shallow toddler area at one end making it safer to bring small ones and children not as confident with swimming. The pool has a constant depth of 1.35 meters and the temperature is maintained to be 29-30°C. Close to the pool there is a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The gym is fully fitted with Matrix cardio and resistance equipment which is safe and easy to use. There is also a good free weights selection to add variety to your training. The gym is fully air-conditioned, light and airy with up-to-date workout music to keep you motivated. The range of equipment includes Treadmills, Cross trainers, Recumbent bikes, rowers, upright bike in addition to 12 spinning bikes. There are also Leg abductors, a Back extension, Peck fly/reverse fly, Lat pulldown, Leg extension, Leg curl, Leg press and Squat rack. Dumbbells in the free weights area range from 2kg to 40kg in 2kg increments. There are also 20kg Olympic barbells with various plate weights from 1.25kg up to 25kg. Additionally, various fitness aids such as Medicine balls, Bosu balls, Swiss balls, Steps, Resistance bands, Kettle bells, Mats and Skipping ropes. The qualified and friendly instructors are on hand to help. They will be happy to demonstrate safe use of all the equipment provided and can even come up with a personal programme to follow based on your individual needs. At an extra cost you can enjoy a game of Golf, Tennis or Padel Tennis. The Point at Polzeath has two outdoor tennis courts, two Padel courts and an 18-hole golf course with spectacular views towards the sea.
