Battersea Sports Centre is an affordable gym in London near the Thames, not far from York Gardens. The recently refurbished air-conditioned gymnasium boasts a great range of state-of-the-art equipment. The suite contains cardio and resistance machines, plus a dedicated strength and conditioning area with plenty of free weights and weight machines. Staff are always available to give you training advice. By offering a wide range of passes and no contract gym memberships the sports centre hopes to encourage all local residents and visitors to use the gym. Whether you’re a regular user or just visiting the area you can expect a warm welcome. Additional facilities include a great range of sociable group exercise classes to help you to lose weight or to get fit. Sessions are suitable for all fitness levels and include Zumba, Pilates, Boot Camp and Yoga. Many classes can be booked right now through Hussle. Kids classes are also available if younger family members also want to get fit! Also available is a full-sized indoor sports hall suitable for volleyball, basketball, netball, badminton and football, plus several outdoor hard courts. A new multi-use games area includes a brilliant 3G Astroturf and 5-a-side football pitch. There is also a recently refurbished studio/dojo. It is located near the Thames just off the A3205 York Road, and between Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town railway stations. Many bus routes pass by, with numbers 44, 295, C3 and N44 stopping at nearby Chatfield Road.
