About this gym

On arrival you will need to swap your ID for a green Edge gate access swipe card to get into the gym and swimming pool which can be done at the main reception. This needs to be returned when you exit the club. The Edge is The University of Leeds gym located in LS2 in the heart of Leeds city centre just next to Leeds General Infirmary and Millennium Square. This is a fantastic facility and certainly one of the best equipped University gyms in the UK boasting a 250 station gym, studios, a swimming pool and the complex itself is home to a huge variety of sporting facilities. The centre is used as a training facility by Olympic Athletes such as the Brownlee brothers and and has been used as a training base by the Chinese Olympic team. Look nowhere else in Leeds - this is the best gym in the city! Your Hussle pass will give you access to the gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. The gym equipment is powered by TechnoGym and offers 250 stations- ranging from cardiovascular machines to free weights, olympic platforms and resistance machines. The cardio machines have Active Wellness TV incorporated to provide Freeview and sky sports whilst you workout. There are plenty of treadmills, crosstrainers, bikes and rowers to choose from. The gym has powerplates, plenty of space with mats, foam rollers and extra equipment to assist your workouts. The weight areas have racks of rubber dumbbells going up to 50KG, barbells, 12 power cages with lifting platforms, extra lifting platforms each with a full set of olympic weights and also a number of benches. The weights area has over 50 stations including a large range of resistance machines. Alongside the gym there is a 25m 8 lane swimming pool and a steam room, sauna and changing facilities. The pool has limited availability, please contact the club to find out the current pool timetable. The Edge is a 10 minutes walk away from Leeds City Centre. To park free (three hours maximum stay) between the hours of 16:00 - 9:00, Monday - Friday and anytime on weekends: •A daily parking code will be available. This will be displayed in The Edge reception. •Using this code at the car parking pay stations at the end of a visit will ensure free parking. •Parking charges will apply if a customer stays longer than three hours.
